Crumbsnatchers' music is characterized by its fusion of indie rock, garage rock, new wave, and punk elements. Their sound draws inspiration from a variety of genres, resulting in a unique and dynamic musical experience.

Origin Story

Formed in 2012 in Knoxville, Tennessee, Crumbsnatchers began as a collaboration between Samuel Guetterman and Philip Mosteller. The band's name was inspired by Guetterman's experiences at a faith-based juvenile detention center, where "Crumbsnatchers" was a term used by staff to mock the touring church choir he was part of. Despite the challenges, Guetterman's passion for music persisted, leading to the formation of the band upon his return to Knoxville. They released their debut album, Big House, in 2016, showcasing their raw energy and distinctive sound.

Current Projects

In March 2024, Crumbsnatchers released their sophomore album, PETWAY, under Like You Mean It Records. The album continues to explore their eclectic musical style, blending various genres to create a cohesive and engaging listening experience. With tracks like "Satin Glow" and "Seeping," the band demonstrates their growth and commitment to pushing musical boundaries.

Personal Touch

A unique aspect of Crumbsnatchers is their ability to transform personal adversity into artistic expression. Guetterman's experiences in a restrictive environment, where secular music was prohibited, fueled his desire to create music that defies conventions. This rebellious spirit is evident in their performances, which are known for their high energy and emotional intensity.
